From the theatre of war to daily life

The Inverness Science Festival at IMAG Lunchtime Lecture

Room to Discover, Inverness Museum and Art Gallery

Accompanied by a reservist from 205 (Scottish) Field Hospital, Cait McCullagh, Curator, will present this joint ISF lecture on the role of the military in advancing medical practice, in the field and in society. Inspired by the experiences of Private Murdo MacRae, who fought with the Seaforth Highlanders in 1914, and whose collection of convalescent craft is held at Inverness Museum, this lecture will also cover the procedures in place for those wounded in present day conflicts. There will be time for questions and answers after the presentation.

This is an Inverness Science Festival Sponsored Lecture. FREE but booking is essential, in person at Inverness Museum & Art Gallery, call 01463 237114 or email cait.mccullagh@highlifehighland.org.uk
